How will MasterCard SecureCode benefit me?
The growth of online shopping in recent years has, unfortunately, led to a growth in online fraud.
The MasterCard SecureCode programme protects you against unauthorised use of your thinkmoney Debit MasterCard online - greatly reducing the risk of you falling victim to fraud.
It enables you to create a password that retailers will ask for when you're completing the check-out process. This password, known only to you and to us, is like an 'electronic signature' for purchases you make online.
Once you activate your thinkmoney Debit MasterCard for the MasterCard SecureCode programme, you'll be able to 'sign' your transactions with this password - just like signing a copy of the receipt (or entering your PIN) when you shop in person at a store.
This digital signature helps prove to the retailer, and us, that your thinkmoney Debit MasterCard is not being used fraudulently - which helps make these purchases safer.
