Bonfire deals to guarantee a flaming good time

Published 1 November 2013 by

It's almost time to wrap up warm and gather with your friends and family for some firework fun.

Whether you're off to a bonfire, to a public firework display, or to enjoy them for free from a well-positioned upstairs window - we're here to help.

We've put together a list of bonfire deals to make sure you have a blast, whatever you decide to do this November 5th.

These Bonfire Night deals were found on 31st October but prices may have been changed or items been removed by the retailer since then. Prices may or may not include VAT and postage and packaging.

Bang on trend

If you're venturing out of the house this Bonfire Night you’ll need to wrap up warm, so we've found some fashionable deals to help.

Getting cold won't be an option with this snug Dare 2B hat from Debenhams at £15, down from £25.

If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, Village Hats have an incredible range. It's not the cheapest option but this amazing knitted monster one couldn’t go without a mention at £19.95, down from £28.95. However, if character headwear isn't your bag, they have a range of great value (and less 'out there') ones for all the family in the sale.

So that's your head sorted - let's look at footwear. It's pretty much a fact that no one likes cold feet, so why not outsmart the elements this year and enjoy smugly dry tootsies with some fashion wellies?

We found easy Wellies to be a real bargain. They have loads to pick from and a huge discounted wellies section as well.

For example, these Union Flag and heart ones are half price at £7.50 but if you prefer spots to stripes, check out these spotted ones at the same price.

If it's looking especially miserable outside this Bonfire Night, you can accessorise your wellies with some welly warmers. They're selling five pairs for a tenner – we especially like these green ones.

Explosive firework night

With fashion sorted, if you're holding or going to a party this year you might want to pick up some fireworks for the big event.

Since variety is the spice of life and all, why not have a look at some of the selection boxes Morrisons are offering?

With prices ranging from £10 - £40, they have fireworks for all budgets - and most of the combinations include sparklers for the little ones too!

Galactic Fireworks also have loads of different selections. Check out their deals, which start at £8.99 for this Celestial Box - down from £12.99 - and are sure to get everyone 'ohhing' and 'ahhing'. Just note that the minimum order value for delivery is £100.

If your ears are ringing and you want a break from the bangs, why not light some Chinese lanterns? You can get these from quite a few places on the high street but we found a particularly good deal on ThumbsUp through Amazon. Down from the RRP of £24.99, you can get a 10 pack for £6.39. Bargain!

Bonfire night in

If the thought of going outside in the cold and dark sounds more appalling than appealing and you’d rather stay in, worry not – there are deals for you too.

For gatherings at home with friends, Asda have got plenty of different beers on sale at two packs for £15. You can mix and match on different ones, including Corrs Light, Stella Cidre and John Smiths.

So you'll probably need some nibbles too. You can get a nice big box of treacle toffee from Thorntons at £4.99 - or if you're having a party, you can get five boxes for £20.

Lastly, bonfire night wouldn't complete without some parkin cake. You can get five for a pound at Asda, or if you're not a fan of the traditional cake, try the Bonfire toffee loaf for a pound too.

Stay safe

Whatever you are doing this Fireworks night, make sure you take care. Keep your pets in a safe place - and be sure to follow the Firework Code!
