Capsule wardrobe 2017: essentials checklist for every woman

Published 1 March 2017 by

It can be hard to decide on an outfit if you have a wardrobe overflowing with clothes. You might not be able to see what you have under the large piles or only wear the same few things over and over again.

But you don't need to have a stuffed wardrobe to dress stylishly. You can create a condensed wardrobe with just a few carefully chosen pieces that easily match with each other – this is a capsule wardrobe.

Want to know more? We show you how to put together a women's capsule wardrobe for 2017 – and what essentials you should have on your checklist.

What to think about first

You'll need to choose a colour palette before you start to put your capsule wardrobe together. This will help make sure the clothes that you pick easily match each other.

Try to pick a colour that you wear often or know suits you. Once you've chosen your colour palette, go through your wardrobe and pick out any clothes that feature this colour. Keep these clothes to one side so that you can include them in your capsule wardrobe.

Make a note of these pieces so that you don't duplicate them.
