For kids, Christmas mostly means one thing: presents! But when your little ones have lists for Santa as long as their arm, shopping for the ideal children's gift can be a costly and time-consuming process.

I've searched for some of the best money-saving deals on kids' toys for Christmas 2012, so you can hopefully make sure your kids find something under the tree that they love - that you won't still be paying for this time next year!

Kids' films

The Harry Potter Complete 8-Film Boxset is sure to cast a spell over all kids who like witchcraft and wizardry - and has it for just £20 (saving you £5 on the original price). At, you can get some great DVD stocking fillers, such as 'Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas' for £3 and 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader' for £3.04.

Going back to the future...

The Furby has come back into fashion as a 2012 Christmas 'must have' - so much so, in fact, that they've sold out virtually everywhere! Cabbage Patch Kid Dolls have also made something of a comeback as one of the top toys this Christmas.

For an old favourite that could keep your little ones occupied for hours after Christmas dinner, you can get a 350-piece value tub of K'nex for £16.66 from - a third off the original price (£24.99).

Action kids

For little ones who like their gadgets, has a Vtech Innotab - a tablet computer that comes with educational games, fun activities and e-books - for £59.79, down from an RRP of £84.99. has some great reductions on kids' bikes, such as £100 off an Apollo Starfighter Boys' Bike - was £199.99, now £99.99. Based on the hit app game, Angry Birds has become something of a children's phenomenon - at you can get an Angry Birds Soft Toy for the 'cheep' price of £5.95.

At they have some great offers on LEGO, such as £9 off a Star Wars Starfighter - was £39.99, now £30.99.

Gifts for girls

Rather than a traditional dolls' house, why not consider a Chad Valley Fantasy Palace, which has been reduced by 50% at - was £39.99, now £19.99. A letter from Santa is almost guaranteed to make your child's Christmas extra special - and Royal Mail will send them one for just the cost of a stamp! Just make sure you send your card by no later than Friday 14th December to get a reply - and don't forget to include your name and address.
