Dan's Deals - 02.11.12
Published 1 November 2012 by Daniel Culpan
This week, Dan's Deals looks at Bonfire Night essentials, winter warmers and your Christmas shopping. Start your winter with a bang - for less.
November is here. The nights may have got darker as we face another British winter, but we also have Bonfire Night, the run-up to Christmas - and our latest round-up of some of the best deals - to look forward to.
Don't forget that all offers are subject to each store's own terms and conditions - and could be changed or removed at the retailer's discretion (especially where an expiry date is not explicitly stated). All the deals featured were accurate on 31/11/2012 and based on online prices - so prices in store could be different.
Warm yourself up
Coffee lovers everywhere can head down to their nearest Starbucks this weekend (Fri 2nd-Monday 5th November) for 2-4-1 on their range of Christmas drinks, including such caffeinated treats as a praline mocha or gingerbread latte. You can just walk in for the offer - there's no need for a voucher.
If you fancy a warming tipple on a chilly evening, a bottle of mulled wine is £3.99 from Tesco.
If you buy a main course at Café Rouge (between Sunday and Friday, until 25th November), you could get a second for just £2.50 with this voucher. Or if you fancy warming your belly with a hearty roast, you can get two carveries for £10 at Toby Carvery until 24th November with this voucher.
Over at Debenhams.co.uk, you can save 55% on a Tog 24 windstopper hat - was £44.95, now £19.95. And while you're at Debenhams updating your winter wardrobe, remember that there's 25% off selected boots and coats for both men and women.
If you're considering splashing out on some warm, comfortable UGG boots, you can save £70 on this pair from ASOS, now £150 instead of £220.
Bonfire party essentials
Just as the nights are getting longer, November 5th offers the perfect chance to get together with friends and family and light up the sky with a dazzling bonfire party.
If you visit Partyrama.co.uk you can get your hands on a pack of 50 giant outdoor sparklers for just £5.99, or over at Brilliantfireworks.co.uk get a pack of 8 low-noise rockets for under £20 (£19.99).
Bonfire toffee is an essential ingredient of the Bonfire Night tradition and at ASDA.com, there's a rollback offer on 300g of Thornton's Special Toffee - now only £3.50 a packet. While you're there, you could also pick up a 250g bag of marshmallows for less than a £1, which could be perfect for toasting over the fire.
Start the Christmas shopping…
If you're starting your Christmas shopping (or you just want to treat yourself) here are a few ideas…
