So, we have just one weekend to go before Christmas Day - when, as tradition holds, the shopping frenzy and festive preparation will end in a small mountain of discarded wrapping paper, as the plate of mince pies does its 5th trip around the table.

But if you're anything like me, you'll still have a fair few items yet to cross off your list - and very little enthusiasm to brave the pre-Christmas crush on the high street. But the joys of online shopping mean the perfect last-minute stocking filler could be just a few clicks away - and I've found festive bargains galore!

However, with only a few postage days left to get your gift delivered and wrapped in time to go under the tree, you'll need to be quick...

All deals are subject to each store's own terms and conditions - and could be changed or removed at the retailer's discretion (particularly where an expiry date is not stated). All the deals featured were accurate on 20/12/2012 and based on online prices - so prices in store could be different. You may be charged more for P&P.

Top Christmas toys

Each year, the Toy Retailers Association (TRA) draws up the toy industry's official list of top toys for Christmas. This year, the must-haves range from the hi-tech to firm favourites, from tablet computers to Furbies. I've found the top 5 (in A-Z order) for less than the RRP.

  • Cabbage Patch Kids. The '80s toy craze has returned for Christmas 2012. has Cabbage Patch Kid Girl Dolls for £24.99 (RRP £29.99).
  • Furby. The furry phenomenon that sold millions in the '90s has also made a big return, flying off the shelves and selling out everywhere. We haven't been able to find any reduced, but has Furbies in stock for £59.99. Alternatively, you may be able to find a last-minute, pre-owned bargain over at
  • VTech InnoTab 2. The multimedia handheld tablet for kids, which comes with educational games, activities and e-books, is on sale at for £55 - saving you £30 on the original price.
  • Jake and the Neverland Pirates - Pirate Ship Bucky. This must-have pirate ship has sailed straight from the hit kids' TV show. And over at, you could save 20% on the RRP and get one for £39.99 (reserve to collect in-store only; you'll need to check your local store for availability).
  • LeapPad 2. Another hi-tech gadget that technology-mad kids everywhere are going crazy about, it doesn't come cheap, with a price tag of £89.99. However, you may be in luck at, where they have them in pink for £71.62.
