Easter holidays 2013: deals and discounts on popular UK attractions and experiences
Published 28 March 2013
Helen has found some discounts on Easter days out. This list includes some of the most popular attractions and activities in the UK. Whether you're a family, a couple or just a group of friends, you might find a day out for less.
Last week Helen brought you some ideas for fun days out (and in) with your loved ones over Easter.
If there wasn't anything that tickled your fancy, we've had a look round for more days out. What's more, we've found some deals, discount codes and offers that could help you fill your Easter holidays with fun, for a bit less. This list includes some of the most popular attractions in the UK.
Whether you're a couple, a family, or you just fancy a day out with some friends, have a look to see whether there are any Easter deals that suit you. We've sorted them into indoor and outdoor attractions - so you'll be sorted whatever the weather.
If the weather is awful over the holidays, here are a few things fun things you can do while staying dry.
There's 15% off gift experiences at Activity Superstore with the code AIF15. If you want to relax (and get out of the rain) with a friend or your partner over Easter, a health club day pass for two is £16.15 instead of £19 with the code.
A family of four can visit Newquay Blue Reef Aquarium for £30.50 if you buy online. The fish will be wet, but you (hopefully) won't be.
Get 20% off City Sightseeing tours when you book online with the code MSM20. UK locations include Bath, Chester, Glasgow, London, Liverpool and York. You'll get to see the sights without being exposed to the elements.
If you fancy a night or two away over your Easter break, there's 10% off hotel bookings at lastminute.com with the code EASTER10.
And don't forget about the countless museums all over the country that offer free entry all year round - not just at Easter.
We think the kids would particularly enjoy:
- National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh
- Natural History Museum, London
- Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester
- Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood, London
- Dickens World, Kent
- The World of Beatrix Potter, Cumbria
Brave the elements
If the weather is OK (or you don't mind the wind, rain and possibly snow), here are a few more outdoorsy things to do:
You can get 22% off orders from Red Letter Days until 31st March with the code VCMAR22. So, for example, you could experience this bus tour of London for £58.50 instead of £75. It works for two adults over 18 and two children aged 5 to 15. It's not a bad price when you consider that you can ride the bus all day - and the price includes three walking tours and a cruise down the Thames.
Get 45% off paintballing at Delta Force locations throughout the UK with this voucher.
Get 17.5% off entrance at Colchester Zoo with this voucher.
At London Zoo, there's 20% off the Bedbugs Sleepover Experience with the code BEDBUGS12. Kids between the ages of 8 and 11 can sleep over at the zoo with the creepy crawlies, get a tour by torchlight and there'll be lots of games and stories too. Plus, if you buy at least two adult tickets and two children's tickets (or tickets for at least one adult and three children) for the zoo you could get a 10% discount by entering the code SAVER when you buy online.
You can get discounts at some of the UK's biggest theme parks if you book at least 7 days in advance. For example, there's 25% off at Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures and Alton Towers when you do this.
And finally, you can save over 30% at Lightwater Valley when you book online.
