Spring has sprung! The days are long and the sun is out, but it's still a bit chilly! So it's well worth replenishing your book, film, music or game collection to keep you entertained while you're inside.

If you're looking to add to your entertainment collection, Helen has found some of the latest deals to help you do this for less. This list includes some of the most popular books, albums, films and games of the moment - as well as some of the classics.

Here are a few discount codes to help you get a bit more money off some of these deals:

  • 10% off orders over £20 and free delivery at Waterstone's (expires 07.04.2013): VN4944

  • 10% off first orders over £30 at The Book People (until 15.04.2013): AFAPR30.

Amazon is offering two Disney DVDs for £14. This includes classics like 'Bambi' and 'Mary Poppins' as well as newer titles like 'Up' and 'Brave'.

Play has DVDs for under £5 and Blu-rays for under £7.

Sainsbury's are offering two Blu-rays for £12, including films like 'The Fifth Element' and '28 Days Later'. You can also get box sets from £12. We like 'Back to the Future' 1, 2 and 3 for £12 on Blu-ray.

There are some critically acclaimed films on DVD on offer at Zavvi, including 'The King's Speech' for £3.99. You can also save up to 60% on Blu-ray box sets there.

The up to 80% off box sets offer at TheHut includes 'Mr Bean - the Complete Box Set (suitcase edition)' for £34.95, saving you £55.04.

Don't forget that you can get DVDs from Poundland for, well… a pound! There's some good stuff for the kids there, including DVDs from shows like The Rugrats and Hey Arnold!


If you're into rock music, have some metal and indie bargains going on, like 'From Fear to Eternity: the Best of 1990-2010' from Iron Maiden for £4.50 and 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' by Coldplay for £4.61.

Sainsbury's are offering Greatest Hits collections from £4.99 and MP3 tracks from 89p each.

Poundland has CDs for £1, including The Supremes - 'Songs in the Name of Love'.

Google Play Store's free song of the week is 'Amsterdam' by Imagine Dragons. There's also music for kids for under £5.


For bedtime stories or quiet reading time, The Book People are offering three selected children's books for £8. Titles include 'The Littlest Bear' and 'Horrid Henry's Wicked World - A-Z of Everything Horrid'. For grownups, The Book People are offering two collections of books for £7, including collections from authors like Chris Ryan and Joanne Harris.

We think that the kids will absolutely adore getting three Roald Dahl books for £5 from Red House. We found 'James and the Giant Peach', 'Fantastic Mr Fox' and 'Matilda', which should keep everyone entertained for ages.

Google Play is offering Easter deals on bestsellers, including eBooks like 'The Help' by Kathryn Stockett and 'The Man Who Broke into Auschwitz' by Denis Avey, for £1.99.

Amazon's seasonal book offers include all seven volumes of the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' saga by George R. R. Martin for £32.40 instead of £60. The hit TV show 'A Game of Thrones' is based on these books.

Waterstones is offering a range of deals, including discounts on Marvel graphic novels, including 'Avengers vs. X-Men: Consequences' for £10.80 instead of £13.50.'s books for under £5books for under £5 deal includes 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' by Stephen Chbosky for £3.38, 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar: Little Learning Library' by Eric Carle for £3.51, and the classic 'The Great Gatsby' by Scott F. Fitzgerald for £1.93.

And don't forget that there's over one million free eBooks available from providers like Kobo. There are lots of timeless classics to be found there.


In the sale at GAME, you can get the new Tomb Raider for Xbox 360 for £25, down from £33.99.

Zavvi is running a 'two for £25' promotion that includes games like 'Hitman: Absolution', 'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim', and 'Ninja Gaiden 3'.

Sainsbury's is offering games like 'The Sims 3: Pets' for £15.99 and 'Angry Birds Space' for £7.99.

There's 2 for £20 on selected Wii and Disney software at Toys R Us, including games like 'Wii Disney Pixar's Brave' and 'Nintendo DS Lego Pirates of the Caribbean'.

There are some deals on games at Littlewoods too: for example, you can get 'WWE 13' for PlayStation 3 for £15 - down from £57.
