Soon you’ll be able to pay in and withdraw money at the Post Office

We’re always looking for ways to make it easier to manage your money, which is why, from later this year, you’ll be able to pay in and withdraw cash from your thinkmoney account at over 11,000+ Post Offices across the UK (subject to certain limits in smaller branches). You can find your local branch and their contact details using the Post Office Branch Finder online at www.postoffice.co.uk/branch-finder.

In order to use Post Offices you’ll need a new thinkmoney Prepaid Debit MasterCard®, which we’ll be sending to you from 1st October 2015. For your security it is very important that we post the card to the correct address, so if you’ve recently moved or are due to move please ensure that you update your details with us.

Once your card arrives you can activate and start using it immediately. Your existing card will stop working shortly after your new card is issued.

Changes to our phone services

In December 2014 we introduced a new 0800 number for the Money Managers. Since then telecoms providers have increased the prices they charge us to offer this service to the point that, unfortunately, it is no longer viable for us to offer an 0800 number.

We still want to make it as cheap as possible for you to call us, so after careful consideration we’ve decided to introduce a new number: 0161 779 5000. If your call package offers free or inclusive calls or minutes to landlines, our new number should be included in this.

You can, if you want, use the new number with immediate effect but the 0800 number won’t be phased out until 1st October.

We are also working flat out to answer your calls more quickly. As well as recruiting and training new staff, we are making changes to how we work to ensure that you can get through and do what you need to do quickly and efficiently – and then get on with the rest of your day.

Introducing the new thinkmoney App

We will soon be launching the thinkmoney mobile App, available for both Android and Apple devices. It is fast, easy and secure to login and once you’ve done so you’ll be able to check your balances and transactions, as well as make one-off payments to friends, family members and companies you’ve paid before. We’ll be in touch nearer the time to let you know when you can download the new thinkmoney App.

Changes to the way we process your incomes and outgoings on Saturdays

At the moment if you have an income due to be paid to you on a Monday (or a Direct Debit or standing order going out on a Monday) we process these early so that they show on your account on the Saturday. From October, this will no longer happen - so you won’t see these payments on your account until the day they’re due.

Faster Payments made to you will continue to be processed and credited to your account on Saturdays and Sundays and you will still get a text to let you know that they have arrived.

Changes to your thinkmoney account and Card Terms and Conditions

Your thinkmoney Account and Card Terms and Conditions will be changing on 1st October 2015 to incorporate the new Post Office service and the changes to our phone number. The main changes are attached here, which you should read. A full set of the revised terms and conditions will be available for you to view online at www.thinkmoney.co.uk from 1st October 2015 or you can contact us to request a copy of them.

If we don’t hear from you regarding these changes, we will assume you accept them. If, unfortunately, you choose not to accept the changes then you have the right to terminate your Account immediately and free of charge before 1st October 2015, in accordance with its terms and conditions.

If you have any queries or require further information, please call to speak to a Money Manager on 0161 779 5000. Alternatively, you can write to us at: thinkmoney, Think Park, Mosley Road, Trafford Park, Manchester, M17 1FQ.
