Unless you’re on the tennis court, white can be a scary colour to wear. But don’t worry, we’ve got some top tips to help you embrace the colour of the season.
There’s no better time to wear white than the summertime and this year, the colour just so happens to be one of the biggest trends of the season. But we know what you’re thinking, white can be a daunting colour to wear (unless you’re taking to centre court that is). To help you get to grips with the shade that everyone’s talking about, we’ve put together this simple guide.*
If you’re ready to follow the fashion pack and fully embrace this colour, check out the following:
Look 1: This white lace dress from F&F at Tesco would be the perfect piece to wear to a summer party or BBQ – easily taking you from day-to-night. Just avoid wearing it to a wedding – you don’t want to get on the wrong side of the bride!
Look 2: Longing for the fashion of the nineties? Then look no further than this white dungaree pinafore from Boohoo. You’ll look effortlessly cool walking the streets in this pinafore and a plain tee of your choice, and at just £20 it’s quite the bargain!
Look 3: Whether you’re heading off to sunnier climes or embarking on a staycation this summer, this maxi dress from Primark will make a stylish addition to your wardrobe. With beaded detailing on the neckline and a cinched in waist, you’ll be sure to embrace your inner bohemian goddess with this look – not bad for just £17, eh?
Can’t quite figure out what you think of this trend? Well, why not ease yourself into it by picking up a few separates:
Look 1: White and denim are a match made in heaven – so why not invest in a woven top like this from F&F at Tesco? At just £10, this top won’t break the bank and could be something that you wear time and time again!
Look 2: Jazz up one of your outfits with this belted sleeveless jacket from Primark. This jacket will bring a touch of Parisian chic to any look and you could even wear it to work (if appropriate, of course) – a winner at just £15, don’t you agree?
Look 3: Get your pins out this summer with this pair of tailored shorts from F&F at Tesco, they’ll look stylish paired against a brighter colour like red or yellow – so go experiment! If you’d prefer less of a fitted look, then why not go for this distressed pair?
If you’re really daunted by the white trend, then why not incorporate the colour into your wardrobe through your accessories…
Option 1: If you’re one for a statement necklace, then look no further than this short white necklace from H&M. Although this necklace comes in at £7, you’ll be able to get your wear out of it by pairing it with different dresses and tops.
Option 2: Show off your tan (real or fake) this summer, by picking up this pair of white block heel sandals from Primark. With their quirky twist lock design, these sandals look much more expensive than their £14 price tag!
Option 3: Embrace the white trend this season (without looking like a Miami Vice wannabe) with this white messenger bag from Primark. You could wear this bag as is, or grab an old scarf and tie it around the strap to give it a touch of colour!
