Our favourite home décor buys for £10 or less
Published 16 June 2015 by Linzi Nuttall
Don’t spend a fortune on cushions and trinkets, we’ve got the best of the best in this guide – all for £10 or less.
If you’re looking to give your home a makeover but don’t have a lot to spend, our new home décor series will be right up your street. Every week we’ll be sharing our favourite home décor buys for £10 or less. We’ll try to cover items from the high street and online bargains too, so you can find something extra special for your lounge, kitchen, bedrooms or bathroom. Please get in touch on Facebook or Twitter if you spot a great buy that isn’t on our list, and we’ll include it on next week’s roundup!
1. Postcard cushion(Asda, £8)
Our pick of the week has to be this postcard cushion, which looks so good we can’t decide which way we’d have it on our couch, as the back is as nice as the front. It’s so colourful and bright it’ll make you feel all summery, even when it’s raining outside!
2. Camper van cushion (Wilko, £6)
Continuing the summer theme, why not treat yourself to this super cute camper van cushion? It would look great on your couch or your bed.
You wouldn’t necessarily need a blue and white colour scheme either, as it would look good with red, green or pink accessories.
3. Camper van canvas(Tesco, £8)
Sticking with the campervan theme, we couldn’t resist sneaking in this canvas, as it would complement the cushion so well. It adds colour and vibrancy to any wall. We love its moto, ‘Life is a journey.’ Its 35cm by 35cm, which means it wouldn’t be overpowering, even in a small lounge.
4. Be Happy wooden box (Wilko, £10)
This wooden box is a blank canvas. It’s designed to go in your bathroom to store your smellies, but we reckon it’d look lovely on your kitchen window sill with some herbs or plants inside. The ‘bee happy’ font is a nice touch and we love the little bee on the side, its so cute!
5. Nautical light pull(Amazon £3.50)
Sometimes it’s the little touches that make a house a home and if you’ve gone for a nautical theme for your bathroom, why not add a decorative light pull? We can’t decide which colour we like best!
6. Hello beautiful (Wilko, £3)
If you need a pick-me-up in a morning then this wooden plaque would look great hung up on your bathroom mirror!
It’s very pretty and at just £3, we reckon it’s a real bargain, considering how much of a boost it’ll give you every day!
7 and 8. Inspirational postcode (Etsy, £1.99)
Have you ever explored the Etsy website? If you haven’t, it’s well worth checking out for amazing handmade, unique items direct from the people who made them. And the real beauty of buying off Esty is most of the items will be originals! We’ve fallen in love with these inspiration postcards by Bhambina Printables.
We think they’d look amazing in a frame hung up in any hallway. They’re only £1.99 each and at the minute there’s a buy one get one free offer on, so you can get 2! We couldn’t pick our favourite design so we’ve chosen two!
9. Retro clock (Asda, £6)
We couldn’t ignore this eye catching retro clock from Asda. It would look fab above any breakfast bar or kitchen table. At just £6 it’s a real steal in our opinion and would look great with our retro accessories from last week .
We hope you like our home décor best buys. Make sure you come back next week to see some more items to give your home the wow factor!
