Royal Tour 2016: Shop Kate Middleton's coat looks for less
Published 5 October 2016 by Kyri Levendi
You don't have to spend a fortune to get the style of a Duchess.
The royal visit to Canada came to an end at the weekend, after the family of four spent eight days exploring the country. From teetering on the edge of a railway track to enjoying a children's party, the royal couple did it all – and Kate looked as stylish as usual doing so!
With the Canadian weather being unpredictable, the Duchess of Cambridge showed us how to style outerwear with her collection of designer coats. But you don't have to spend a fortune to bag a stylish coat this autumn – and to prove it we're recreating three of her best looks with the help of the high-street.*
Red Carolina Herrera coat
On the couple's visit to Whitehorse, Kate wore this red coat by CH Carolina Herrera. The bold coat features a Peter Pan collar and a double breasted design, and comes in at a staggering £1,190.
While this coat is beautiful, you don't have to pay designer prices to find a vibrant coat this autumn. Take this funnel neck coat from F&F – it features a bold red design, a tie waist and gold-tone button fastenings. At just £39, this coat is budget-friendly and could take you from day to night – or to any royal engagements!
Troy London parka
With a rare opportunity to showcase an off-duty look, Kate wore this Troy London parka to enjoy a boat trip around Victoria Harbour. The khaki green parka was an appropriate choice to fend off the wind and rain, and it costs around £350.
You can find a coat like this easily on the high-street. This cotton parka from H&M is the closest we've managed to find to this look and at £29.99, it comes in at fraction of the price!
Cream Catherine Walker coat
To wave goodbye to Canada, Kate wore this classic cream coat by British designer Catherine Walker. The coat is stylishly chic and features a cinched in waist with pocket detailing. It's believed to retail at around £3,000. The Duchess added a touch of sparkle by pairing it with a maple leaf brooch from the Queen.
While you may not have such impressive family members to borrow from, you can recreate this look for less. This short coat from H&M is only £29.99 and although it's not a direct copy of the look Kate wore, it’s a similar style. We particularly like this coat in powder pink.
So there you have it – three different coats worn by Kate Middleton on the latest Royal Tour and you can steal her style for no more than £40 each!
