Autumn is just around the corner so make sure you’re prepared for the new fashion season with our guide.
Pretty soon, we’ll start to see the familiar signs that autumn is coming – the leaves turning brown, the air feeling crisper and the nights start to draw in. With the changing of the new season, comes a whole host of new fashion trends for you to embrace. To get you up-to-speed on the latest budget-friendly looks, we’ve put together this guide.*
Believe it or not, the seventies trend is still alive and kicking this autumn after becoming such a feature of the spring/summer season. For the autumn months, the trend is all about bohemian prints and classic seventies shapes: loose fitting blouses, flares and polo necks. Like the sound of this? Check out the following:
Look 1: Nothing screams seventies chic quite like polo-neck dress from H&M. Featuring a bold floral print and colour palettes of blue and orange this dress is an absolute find at £9.99!
Look 2: Whether you’re keeping things casual or heading in for a day at the office, you can’t go wrong with a tie-neck blouse like this from Primark. This tan shade will be all over the high street this season but you’ll be hard pushed to find anything quite as budget-friendly at just £10!
Look 3: It’s not all about the skinny jean you know – the flare can be just as stylish and flattering to the figure. So why not try something new this season and pick up some flare trousers like these from Primark?
Speaking of the seventies, suede is yet another throw-back trend making a comeback this autumn. Here’s how to incorporate the look for a fraction of the price:
Look 1: Imagine this suede tunic dress from F&F at Tesco paired with a chunky cream jumper, tights and black boots. Well, with just £20 and a few wardrobe staples, you can create this look too!
Look 2: Suede is incredibly versatile so whether you’re going out for dinner with friends, heading into town to do some shopping or attending a work event, a suede pencil skirt like this could be your go-to item! At only £8, it’s quite the bargain!
Look 3: If you’d rather incorporate suede into your look more subtly, then this suedette top from Matalan could do the trick! At just £12, this top isn’t too much of a commitment if you just want to try out this trend.
Get your old flannel shirts out, ladies – they’re making a comeback!
Look 1: There’s nothing quite as comfortable or as chic as a shirt dress and this one from Primark is a bargain at just £13.
Look 2: Go back to basics with this checked shirt from F&F at Tesco – it will look fab worn with plain skinny jeans or tucked into a form-fitting skirt. Not bad for just £12!
Look 3: So that you’re prepared for when the weather does start to turn colder (hopefully we’ll be eased into it!) pick up this blanket wrap from Primark. This wrap is a subtle way to incorporate the check trend and at just £16, who’s complaining?
