What to wear to a night summer wedding
Published 22 June 2016 by Kyri Levendi
The UK weather can be unpredictable – so prepare for all possibilities when heading to an evening summer wedding.
Invited to a summer wedding? You’re probably wondering what you’re going to wear to the special occasion. If it’s going to be held in the evening, you might want to go for something to a little more covered-up, just in case the weather doesn’t hold up.
To help you put together an appropriate outfit, we’re going to take you through a few different looks. All outfits included in this blog cost no more than £60!*
Little black jumpsuit
You’ve heard of the little black dress but what about the little black jumpsuit? A jumpsuit like this one from Primark is only £15 and would be ideal no matter the weather. You could pair with a statement necklace and metallic cardigan like this one from Primark – it’s only £12!
Want something a little more colourful? Take a look at this floral print dress from F&F at Tesco. The dress features a bold floral print over a cream base (that’s right, it’s not white!) and costs just £30.
As it’s sleeveless, you could pair it with a pink wrap like this one from Debenhams. It won’t send you over budget at £15.
You can’t go wrong with a maxi dress – it’s long enough to keep your legs covered against a seasonal breeze but ideal for a warmer evening too.
This dress from F&F at Tesco is bold with its pink design and features delicate pleated detailing. You could wear your hair up to really show off the dress and keep your shoulders covered with a white Primark blazer. This complete outfit comes in at just £60!
The colours of the rainbow
To really make a statement, try a bold print, like this H&M halterneck dress. The dark blue and yellow tones are a perfect combination and the halterneck design adds an unusual twist.
This dress is something you could wear for many special occasions and is only £29.99. For the night, throw something like this nude scarf around your shoulders. It’s only £4 and will be a lifesaver as the evening starts to come to an end.
Off the shoulder
Fancy something a bit different? This off the shoulder dress from H&M could be right up your street. With a subtle polka dot and frilly one-shoulder design, this navy dress would be ideal for celebrating with your friends. At £29.99, this dress is great value!
The design makes it hard to find an appropriate cover-up but pair with some matte black tights if you’re worried about being cold.
