With the weather starting to change, you’ll find yourself (if you haven’t already) wanting to wrap up warm against the chill. If you’ve got a family, you’ll have to make sure everyone is decked out for the seasonal change. To help you do this, we’ve set out a fashion series on getting the family ready for winter. Last week, we walked you through winter coats and this week it’s the turn of winter boots!*
Look 1: If you’re unaware that the seventies is a big style trend this autumn, where have you been? These knee-high boots from F&F at Tesco will help you to achieve the ultimate throw-back look regardless of whether you pair them with flared jeans or a boho dress – at only £30, they’re quite the bargain!
Look 2: For a new twist on the Chelsea boot, why not try these leather-look boots from F&F at Tesco? With a pointed toe and burgundy finish, these boots look much more expensive than their £25 price tag.
Look 3: Alternatively, if you prefer the original Chelsea boot style then you could pick this pair up from Primark for a budget-friendly £15!
Look 1: For everyday wear, these lace-up boots from Primark are ideal. They’re robust enough to take you through this winter (and hopefully the next too!), not bad considering they’re only £18.
Look 2: Man, woman or child, you simply can’t go wrong with a Chelsea boot – they’re sleek, stylish and a classic staple for the winter. These Chelsea boots from F&F at Tesco are only £22, and can be worn with jeans, or smarter trousers – the choice is yours!
Look 3: If you’re searching for more of a smart boot, look no further than these suede desert boots from Matalan. These would be ideal to pair with smart trousers and a shirt for an evening out.
If you’ve got a little girl to kit out with her first pair of winter boots, then don’t think that you have to rush to well-known brands like Clarks or Startrite. Primark carry quite a good selection of winter boots for kids – take this black patent pair or pink detailed boot and they’re only £12 each.
It’s likely that the boots you’re buying for older girls will need to double-up for school as well, so always buy black. This long-leg pair from Deichmann are the traditional type of boot that most schools will accept, but you may find that you get away with this biker pair from H&M depending on your school!
If your little boy is rather rambunctious (aren’t they all!) then you could invest in a pair of robust boots like these from Primark. Or pick up more of a formal pair like these black Chelsea boots – they’re a bargain at just £10! But remember you don’t need to buy your little one shoes if they’re not walking yet, save your money and wait until they really need them!
No matter what the weather throws at us this winter – rain, sleet or snow, your boy will be able to battle the elements in these lace-up boots from Primark (not bad for just £10, right?) For a more formal occasion, these navy desert boots could do the trick!
