If you’re struggling to manage your finances due to a physical disability, find out how we can help and how you can adjust your devices to make things easier for you.

Accessibility and your account

Living with a disability, whether that’s a visual impairment, hearing loss, dexterity, or any other physical disability, shouldn’t stop you from being able to manage your account. Any banking service should be accessible to all, no matter your circumstance.

Being a digital banking service and having no branches for our customers to come to, thinkmoney can be an advantage to some of our customers who have a physical disability. For those who struggle to leave the house without aid, you can manage your account 24/7 from the comfort of your home. However, for those who struggle to use online banking, whether that’s due to a visual impairment or hearing loss which can make speaking to our call centre a challenge, we have adapted our services to make thinkmoney accessible to all.

thinkmoney: accessible to all

To support the needs of all our customers, there are many options in place to adapt the way you manage your account to make things easier and to help take the stress from managing your finances away.

Visual impairment

Whether you have limited or no sight at all, there are ways you can adapt your account to make managing your finances easier. Here at thinkmoney, you can change your communications to be in large print or braille. Please call our specialist team on 0161 779 5000 to let us know that you require this service and we will update your account.

You can also alter the size of the text on your devices, such as a laptop, iPad, and smartphone, to help make managing your account easier. To find out how, you can follow the instructions for changing your settings on the AbilityNet website.

Need extra support?

If you require extra support with your account due to a disability, then we are here to help. If you have a hearing and speech impairment which makes talking to our call centre difficult, you can nominate an authorised speaker who can speak on your behalf. You can give our specialist team a call to arrange this. Alternatively, you can organise third party access to your account.

As we are a digital banking service, you can manage your account from the comfort of your sofa via online banking and our app, so there’s no need to worry about getting to a branch. For full features of what you do in our app, check out our app page.
