I tried the Body Shop’s Mother’s Day range – full prices, gift sets and how to save

Mother’s Day is creeping up, which means some of us are suddenly realising we should probably be getting a gift that isn’t panic bought at a petrol station (cough, cough).
If your mum likes a bit of a pamper, The Body Shop has launched a White Tea & Elderflower range just in time for Mother’s Day. I popped into the shop to see what it smells like, what’s in the collection and how much everything costs.
The quick review? It smells fresh, light and really clean. Floral, but not too floral, if you get what I mean, which makes it a pretty safe gift option if you’re not 100% sure what scents your mum likes (shame, shame).
What does white tea actually smell like?
First things first, it doesn’t smell like a Yorkshire brew. Sadly.
In fragrance terms, white tea is known for being light, fresh and airy. It’s usually used in perfumes and skincare to create a calm, clean scent rather than anything strong or overly sweet, which is why it often shows up in ‘spa-style' products.
Most fragrances are built in layers, which appear as you smell them.
Top notes are what you notice first. In scents like this, that tends to be the crisp, slightly green note that gives the initial fresh feeling.
Heart notes come through next, and that’s where the elderflower is. Elderflower smells soft and lightly floral, adding a bit of sweetness without making the fragrance feel heavy or overly perfumed.
Then there are the base notes, which are the subtle background scents that linger the longest. In white tea fragrances these are usually smooth, comforting notes that keep everything feeling clean and balanced rather than rich or sugary.
After putting the products to the test myself, I’ve concluded that the overall scent reminds me a bit of a Hugo Spritz, very spring-ready and perfect for any sunshine we might (or might not) be graced with this Spring.
If your mum usually goes for a clean or subtle fragrance rather than a strong perfume, this is a winner choice, for sure.
White Tea & Elderflower Range: Individual product prices
If you want to build your own gift set instead of buying a pre-packed bundle, these are the main products available in the range.
White Tea & Elderflower Bath & Shower Gel – £8.50 (250ml)

The shower gel is one of the cheapest ways to try the scent. It’s a 250ml bottle designed for daily use and has the same light floral fragrance as the rest of the range.
At £8.50, it’s also the easiest add-on if you’re putting together a small gift. I had a quick smell of this one in store and it’s definitely one of those shower gels that makes your bathroom smell like a spa after you’ve washed off the bubbles.
White Tea & Elderflower Body Yogurt – £14 (200ml)

The Body Yogurt is designed to be a lightweight moisturiser that absorbs quickly into the skin.
If you’re someone like me who hates heavy or sticky creams, this is the quicker, lighter option. You can even apply it to damp skin straight after a shower, which makes it feel a bit more practical for everyday use.
At £14 for 200ml, it sits right in the middle of The Body Shop’s body care pricing.
White Tea & Elderflower Body Butter – £19 (200ml)

The Body Butter is the richer option in the range. If you’ve used Body Shop body butters before, you’ll know they’re thick, moisturising and designed to last ages.
This one costs £19 for a 200ml tub, making it the most expensive single skincare product in the collection. If your mum already loves Body Shop body butters, though, this is probably the safest bet in the whole range.
White Tea & Elderflower Fragrance Mist – £14 (100ml)

If you want the scent without layering lots of products, the Fragrance Mist is your winner.
It’s a 100ml spray for £14, designed to give a lighter version of the scent compared to a traditional perfume.
This was one of my favourite bits in the shop because it’s nicely subtle rather than overpowering. It’s the sort of scent you could wear every day without getting bored of it.
White Tea & Elderflower Hand Cream – £7 (30ml)

The hand cream is the smallest product in the range and a handbag essential (me and my Dewberry hand cream go everywhere together).
A 30ml tube costs £7 and it’s a nice smooth add-on if you’re putting together a small bundle yourself.
What everything costs if you buy the full routine
If you bought every product individually, here’s roughly what the full routine would cost:
Shower Gel – £8.50
Body Yogurt – £14
Body Butter – £19
Fragrance Mist – £14
Hand Cream – £7
That brings the total to £62.50 for the full range.
Which is worth knowing, because the gift sets bundle most of these together.
The Body Shop White Tea & Elderflower gift sets
If you’d rather buy something ready-made, there are a couple of gift sets designed specifically for Mother’s Day.
White Tea & Elderflower Collection – £49
The largest gift set costs £49 and comes in a Body Shop gift bag, which saves you wrapping it up and gives the illusion of effort for all of us who don’t know how to fold wrapping paper.
Inside you get:
Bath & Shower Gel (250ml)
Body Butter (200ml)
Body Yogurt (200ml)
Fragrance Mist (100ml)
Hand Cream (30ml)
So essentially the entire range in one bundle.
Considering buying the products separately would cost around £62.50, the gift set saves roughly £13.50 before any discounts.
Medium White Tea & Elderflower Gift Set – £29
If £49 feels a bit steep, there’s also a smaller £29 gift set.
This one includes:
Shower Gel
Body Butter
Hand Cream
So it’s more of a mini pamper trio rather than the full routine, but still a lovely Mother’s Day option if you want something nice without spending close to £50.
How to save 12% on The Body Shop this week*
If you’ve got a thinkmoney SmartPlus account, there’s currently 12% off at The Body Shop using your PlusSave perks.
That brings the prices down to roughly:
· £49 gift set → about £43.12
· £29 gift set → about £25.52
That’s enough to get her a bar of chocolate or some flowers to boost your ‘favourite child points.’
*12% discount is valid until Sunday 15th March 2026.
The verdict
While I was in store, I noticed a sign on the display that said, “To the Original Influencer”, which is part of their Mother’s Day campaign this year and it made me feel all soft and sappy. Because when you think about it, most of us had an influencer long before Instagram existed.
I definitely take plenty of influence from my mum… although I will say I don’t own anywhere near enough leopard print yet to fully match her energy.

If you’re looking for a Mother’s Day gift that feels more thoughtful than supermarket flowers alone (no judgement from me here), this range is an easy win. The products are classic Body Shop staples and the gift sets make it very easy to grab something that looks pretty and gives you good value for money.
