Tesco’s five wines + Moet champagne for under £55 - sort your Christmas drinks for less

It’s that time of year again! Tesco’s running its wine discount on selected bottles just in time for your final Christmas shop. Customers who buy at least six wines can get 25% off their booze until December 18 (this Thursday!).

There are also lots of extra Clubcard offers on wines and champagne. If you want to really push the boat out this year, you can bag a bottle of Moet & Chandon for just £35, a £10 saving on the usual £45 price. Plus, it counts towards your six wines.

We worked out that if you stack your savings cleverly and use thinkmoney’s PlusSave, you can bag five decent bottles of wine and the £35 bottle of Moet for just under £55. That works out to around £9 per bottle. A £9 bottle of Moet, anyone?

How to get five wines and a bottle of Moet for under £55

We picked five mid-range Tesco wines included in Tesco’s 25% discount offer and added a bottle of Champagne. Here’s what was on our shopping list:

• 2 bottles of Gordon Ramsay Pinot Grigio priced at £8.75
• 3 bottles of McGuigan Black Label Shiraz priced at £7.25
• 1 bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne priced at £45 (but we got it for £35 with the Clubcard)

The total, without the discounts applied came to £85.75. But, we stacked Tesco’s offers with our PlusSave gift card and got this entire festive booze shop down to £53.45 with total savings of £32.30.
