Where to get the best and cheapest Easter eggs in 2026


If you’re shopping for Easter eggs this year, you don’t need to spend a fortune to get something delicious. Good Housekeeping has released its 2026 Easter egg taste test, and many of the winners are easy to find in your local supermarket. Some of the best deals also come down to loyalty cards and short‑term offers, so it’s worth knowing where to look.
We’ve pulled together some of the top‑rated Easter eggs for 2026 and the cheapest places to buy them, so you can get great chocolate without overpaying.
Lindt Gold Bunny Milk Chocolate Easter Egg (250g)
This classic milk chocolate egg comes with the famous gold bunny and won the title of Best Milk Chocolate Easter Egg this year, scoring 86/100 with Good Housekeeping.
The cheapest place to buy it right now is Tesco, where it costs £14 with a Clubcard (normally £16) until 8 April 2026.
If you don’t mind a smaller version, Asda has the 195g egg for £11 with a rollback deal. There’s also a bigger 310g version at Ocado for £16.50 until 7 April 2026, which works out cheapest per gram, if you're looking for the best value.

Tony’s Chocolonely Milk Chocolate Easter Egg (242g)
Tony’s chunky, ethical chocolate scored 81/100 and is one of the cheaper branded Easter eggs if you know where to shop.
The lowest current price is at Sainsbury’s, where it’s £11 with a Nectar card (normally £13.50) until 5 April 2026.
You can also get it at Waitrose for £11.50, or at Morrisons for £12 with a More Card until 6 April 2026.
If you’re happy to try a different flavour, Tesco sells Tony’s milk caramel egg for £10.85 with a Clubcard, down from £13.

Kit Kat Salted Caramel Flavour Chocolate Easter Egg (379g)
This large salted caramel egg scored 77/100 and includes extra Kit Kat treats. We only managed to find this specific one at Tesco when we looked, where it costs £11.50 with a Clubcard or £13 without. The offer runs until 6 April 2026.

The best own‑brand supermarket Easter eggs in 2026
Good Housekeeping also tested supermarket own‑brand eggs, and many of them outranked pricier branded options.
Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference “The Mint One” Belgian Dark Chocolate (230g)
This egg took the top spot overall across both own brand Easter eggs and some of the fancier brands too, scoring an impressive 89/100. It’s rich, minty and great value for the quality. Flavour-wise, Sainsbury's says it's triple loaded with crunchy mint pieces, cocoa cookie and mint flavours. It costs £10, or £7.50 with a Nectar card.

Aldi Moser Roth Dark Ultimate Egg (200g)
Aldi’s premium dark chocolate egg scored 86/100 and is one of the best budget options this year.
It costs £8.49 at Aldi and the dark chocolate is laced with orange, ginger, pecan nuts and brown sugar to really elevate those flavours.
Tesco Finest Double Layer Salted Pretzel Chocolate Egg (210g)
This double‑layer chocolate egg combines sweet and salty flavours and scored 81/100. It’s £12 with a Clubcard, or £14 without, until 6 April 2026.

This limited edition Easter egg is hand decorated with golden pretzel pieces and sea salt, and it's a mix of Belgian milk chocolate and white chocolate.
Exceptional by Asda Orange & Ginger Dark Chocolate Egg (200g)
This egg blends orange and ginger for a zingy twist and scored 84/100. It costs £10 at Asda currently. Good Housekeeping testers described it as "classy" and "grown up".
Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference “The Caramel One” Belgian Milk Chocolate (230g)
This smooth caramel‑flavoured milk chocolate egg scored 80/100 and won the joint best Good Housekeeping best for design category. It's triple-loaded with honeycomb, toffee fudge and shortbread biscuit pieces. It’s £10, or £7.50 with a Nectar card, if you buy it before 5 April 2026.
Morrisons The Best Signature Collection Grand Golden Egg (1kg)
This huge 1kg egg scored 79/100 and won Best Value Milk Chocolate Easter Egg thanks to the amount of chocolate you get for the price.
It's the best of both worlds with a milk chocolate and dark chocolate half, plus four mini milk-chocolate eggs inside.

It currently costs £29.50, which is among the cheapest per‑kilo prices for a large Easter egg this year.
