Wilderness Festival tickets and camping info for 2026

The Wilderness Festival ticket set up is a bit of a minefield. You’ll need different types of festival tickets depending on whether you’re camping or bringing a campervan, for example. General tickets entitle you to camping, but you need to pay for extra upgrades in some cases. Plus, there’s also a sustainable ticket option that works out cheaper if you’re willing to cycle or take the bus. We’ve broken down how it all works below to help you understand your options.

Weekend general ticket

A weekend general ticket gives you access to the festival from Thursday to Monday and includes general and quiet camping at no extra cost. It also allows you to upgrade to boutique camping and park and pitch if you wish. You can also access accessibility camping (with approval) and come and go all weekend. Prices start from £278. You can book your Wilderness Festival ticket through Ticketmaster.

If you’re planning on bringing a campervan or other home on wheels, do not book this ticket. See the Weekend Live-In Vehicle Camping info to find out what ticket you need.

Total cost: from £278 per person.

Sustainable weekend general ticket

A sustainable weekend general ticket costs £228 per person, and it’s available to people who choose to travel by coach or by cycling. The Coach package costs £73 via the Big Green Coach, whereas there’s also a cycle package which costs £50 and you get to join the Ride to Wilderness challenge with proceeds supporting creative education initiatives in South Africa.

TLDR: The sustainable weekend general ticket itself works out cheaper than the weekend general ticket, and then you pay for your choice of travel on top. It’s available via Ticketmaster.

If you’re planning on bringing a campervan or other home on wheels, do not book this ticket. See the Weekend Live-In Vehicle Camping info to find out what ticket you need.

Total cost: from £278 per person including transport (assuming you join the cycling option)

Weekend park & pitch

This option is for people who want to park their car right next to their own tent; they get all the benefits of the Boutique Campsite, but they have to bring their own tent. There’s no power hookup though.

Every person in your party still needs their own general ticket, but you’ll need to pay for the park & pitch upgrade (prices start from £495 for an 8 x 7m pitch). The exact total cost per person will depend on how many people you’re splitting the pitch with ultimately. If there’s five of you, you’re looking at about an extra £100 per person.

Total cost: from £378 per person if split between 5 people

Weekend boutique camping

You can access the boutique camping section with your weekend ticket, but you need to pay for an upgrade if you want to make use of one of the pre-pitched tents, tipis or cabins. Accommodation options start from £618.25 for 3 people for a Meadow Tent, and go right up to around £7,000 for a “luxury mahal for 10 people”. The tipi tenthouse en-sute for 8 is now sold out.

Per person, you’re looking at anywhere between roughly £200 to £700 on top of your weekend ticket if you want to go bougie and have them set up the tent for you. If you want to bring a car, the parking pass is extra.

Total cost: from £478 per person, assuming you go for the cheapest option

Weekend live‑in vehicle ticket

If you’re going down this route, you shouldn’t book a general weekend ticket. This is for festival goers with their own home on wheels, whether that’s a campervan, caravan, RV or motorhome. Each person requires their own Weekend Live-In Vehicle Ticket for festival access, plus you need a Live-in Vehicle Pass (1 per 6x7 pitch).

The Weekend Live-In tickets start from £278 per person, and then you’ll need your Live-In Vehicle pass which costs £225 or £300 if you want a power hook up. So, that’s an extra £225 to £300 on top of your festival tickets, basically.

Total cost: from £323 per person assuming you’re splitting between 5 people without a power hook up.

How to pay for your Wilderness Festival tickets in 2026

You’re looking at a minimum of £278 to see the festival and access the general camping area (bring your own tent though). But, whatever option you’re going for, you can usually choose to split the cost with PayPal Pay in 3, where you pay off your tickets in three interest-free monthly instalments which can make it a little easier to budget.

General camping is included for free within the weekend general ticket and it’s probably the best option if you’re on a tight budget. Boutique camping and park & pitch add significant extra costs, so only upgrade if it fits your budget comfortably.

How to get to Wilderness in 2026

Here are all your options to get to the Wilderness Festival in 2026.

By coach

Direct coaches run from London Victoria and London Richmond to the festival with Big Green Coach. They take you straight to the site on Thursday and return you to London on Monday.

By train

Direct trains run from London Paddington to Charlbury in around 1.5 hours.

By shuttle bus

A shuttle service runs between Charlbury Station and the festival. Fares range from £7 for a single ticket or £10 for a return; it’s cash only and prices may change. Shuttles run within set time windows and operate when full.

By car

Follow festival road signs to the correct entrance gate for your campsite or car park. All vehicles need a car park pass, and lift‑sharing is encouraged.

By bicycle

There is a bike park near the pick‑up and drop‑off area. Local residents can also enter via the pedestrian gate. Bikes are left at the owner’s risk.

By local taxi

Local taxi companies operate from Charlbury, Oxford Parkway and nearby areas. Booking in advance is encouraged. Approximate fares:

  • £20–£25 from Charlbury

  • £50–£60 from Oxford Parkway

How to budget for the Wilderness Festival in 2026

A weekend ticket for the Wilderness Festival will set you back around £278 and this includes access to the general camping area as long as you bring your own tent. You’ll also need to budget for things like:

  • Transport to and from the festival

  • Food and drinks while at the festival

  • Merch and other goodies

  • Tents and camping gear if you don’t have any

We have lots of tips on how to make your budget go further in our UK summer festivals budgeting overview so we encourage you to check it out if you’re looking to make your money go further.
