I built a Mother’s Day hamper from B&M for under £50 – and it looks way more expensive than it is

If you’ve just realised Mother’s Day is looming and you’ve left it… a bit late, you are very much my people. The good news is you don’t need to panic-buy a sad bunch of petrol station flowers. Discount retailers like B&M are absolute goldmines for last-minute gifts that look far more expensive than they are - if you know what to grab.
I did a quick dash through B&M and pulled together a full Mother’s Day hamper for under £50, packed with cosy home bits, a couple of indulgent treats, and one surprisingly impressive gadget that absolutely punched above its price tag. It’s the kind of bundle that feels thoughtful rather than thrown together - the trick is picking items that feel like a little experience rather than just “stuff”.
From spring-ready home décor and a pastel cafetiere for slow weekend coffees, to a spa-style diffuser set and a muscle massager that’s suspiciously good for the money, these are the affordable B&M finds that can help you build a genuinely lovely Mother’s Day gift bundle without blowing the budget.
And the best bit? The whole lot comes to £48.25. A full hamper, multiple presents to unwrap, and still safely under the £50 mark; 6 items with range, thoughtful reasoning and a low price tag.
Here’s what made the cut from my last-minute B&M Mother’s Day shop. 🌸
Country Rustic Blooming Beautiful Slogan Cushion (£10)
Outfit your space with this cosy Blooming Beautiful Slogan Cushion. This stylish cushion is ideal for living rooms and bedrooms and will really enhance your furnishings.

The perfect blend of snuggly and stylish. And I have to agree with what the website says here - she’s firm and hefty and makes a nice wrapped present perfect for spring décor if Cosycountrycore is her thing.
Dimensions: 40 x 60cm (Approx.)
Brunch Club Cafetiere (£4)
Holding 825 mils – so enough for you and your mum. This gorgeous, girly pastel coffee pot looks worth a lot more than it is. Cute, stylish and with enough capacity to be practical. Pair with a bouji artisan coffee you’ve hand selected and you have a very thoughtful bundle if your mum is a caffeine queen.

Restore: deep tissue muscle massager (£20)
Now, this type of thing typically retails at around around £200 so I’ll be honest, I was sceptical about this. But because I’m selfless and I’ll do anything for you, I had no choice but to get it out and have a go and I’m converted.
Soothing on tired legs and shoulders far below the cost of a massage – if your mum complains about aches and pains, you’ll get major brownie points for this, likewise if she’s a gym bunny as it’s great for muscle recovery (I read this on the side of the box – I’m NOT a gym bunny)

It has a variety of settings but it’s super simple to get up and running from the box, there are settings for hot and cold and I’m pretty pleased with the price. There is a chance it won’t last as long as a £200 one, but if I have to replace it at some point, at this price, I won’t be mad.
Raw Beauty Amber Linen gift set (£8)
This Diffuser & Candle Set with Footed Wooden Tray makes an amazing addition to your home, according to the website and I have to agree. It looks quite premium and you get a lot for your money. It looks like the kind of thing you’d find in a spa and would look nice in a bedroom, bathroom or neutral lounge.
It includes:
100ml Reed Diffuser
3 x Reeds and Bunnytails
Scented Candle
Tealight Holder
Unfragranced Tealight
Rattan balls (?) – little tangles of wicker, presumably for full spa vibes
Complete with an amber linen fragrance.

What is Amber linen? Glad you asked.
According to my friend Mr Google, “Amber Linen typically smells like a warm, cozy, and slightly sweet blend of resinous, woody, and powdery notes, designed to evoke a "soft," intimate skin scent. It often features notes of benzoin, labdanum, vanilla, and sandalwood, creating a comfortable yet sophisticated aroma that feels like a warm embrace
At £8 it is a decent amount of bang for your buck.
Glitterball Candle by Karina Bailey (£4)
Having gone for lots of nights out with my mum over the years, discoing down to 70s tunes, I could not leave this behind. It’s a super cute extra to throw in. The scent is apparently ‘Palo Santo and smoked sandalwood’ but the overall fragrance is light and sweet without being too overpowering.

No clue on the burn time but a lovely ornament that throws out some sparkly light and a really nice option for disco divas.
Milka Dupe – the Millennium chocolate factory peanut caramel chocolate bar (£2)
Looks familiar but something off? This fantastic Milka dupe chocolate bar is big and treaty and stacked full of premium nuts.

Really nice flavour and at £2 it makes a nice Mothers Day hamper item without breaking the bank.
If it makes it to your mum’s…
A Mother's Day hamper for less than £50
You can get all these items for £48.25! Under 50 quid for a range of thoughtful things to open on the big day. Obviously B&M Stocks will vary and not everything is available online so move quickly if you want to pick them up before Sunday.
