How do I reclaim a Faster Payment sent to the wrong person?

Once you’ve made a Faster Payment it can’t be stopped. That’s why it is really important to double check you’ve entered the correct details before sending a payment.

If you have sent a payment to the wrong place, you’ll need to give us a call as soon as possible on 0161 779 5000 and we can discuss the situation with you. 

If you make a genuine mistake when sending an electronic payment – whether online or on your mobile, or in a branch or using telephone banking – we’ll attempt to recover the funds on your behalf.
