How do I reclaim a Faster Payment sent to the wrong person?

Once you've used Faster Payments for sending money within the UK, it can't be stopped. That's why it is really important to double check you've entered the correct details before sending a payment.

If you have sent a payment to the wrong place, you’ll need to give us a call as soon as possible on 0161 779 5000 and we can discuss the situation with you. 

If you make a genuine mistake when sending an electronic payment – whether online or on your mobile, or in a branch or using telephone banking – we’ll attempt to recover the funds on your behalf.
